Editorial Policy
Our Commitment to You
FinWireStack is committed to providing honest, accurate, and useful FinTech information. Our readers come first. Not advertisers. Not affiliate partners.
This editorial policy explains how we create, review, and update our content.
Independence
We are an independent FinTech affiliate website. No bank, crypto exchange, or financial institution owns us or controls what we write.
We do not:
- Accept payment for positive reviews
- Allow advertisers to influence our content
- Write articles based on what pays the highest commission
We do:
- Test products before recommending them
- Disclose affiliate relationships clearly
- Update content when information changes
How We Choose Topics
We write about what our readers ask us to cover. We also monitor FinTech trends, reader comments, and search data to identify what matters most.
Topic sources include:
- Reader emails and comments
- Current FinTech news and trends
- Common financial problems people face
- Product launches and updates
If multiple readers ask the same question, we write an article about it.
How We Test Products
We do not recommend products we have not researched. Our testing process includes:
| Step | What We Do |
|---|---|
| 1. Research | We read terms, fees, and features directly from provider websites |
| 2. Compare | We put products side by side against competitors |
| 3. Test (when possible) | We open accounts, use features, and contact customer support |
| 4. Verify rates | We check interest rates, fees, and terms are current |
| 5. Update | We revisit articles when products or rates change |
When we cannot test a product directly (due to geographic restrictions or other limitations), we clearly state that in the article.
Affiliate Disclosure
FinWireStack earns money through affiliate links. This means:
- When you click a link on our site and sign up for a service, we may receive a commission
- This does not cost you anything extra
- Affiliate relationships do not influence our recommendations
We display an affiliate disclosure at the top of every article that contains affiliate links.
Our promise: We recommend products based on their merit, not on commission rates.
Accuracy and Corrections
We strive for accuracy. But mistakes happen. When they do, we correct them openly.
If you find an error:
- Email us at contact admin@finwirestack.com
- Include the article URL and the error you found
- We will investigate and correct within 2-3 business days
What we correct:
- Factual errors (incorrect rates, fees, or product features)
- Broken links
- Outdated information
What we do NOT change:
- Affiliate links after publication (except to update broken links)
- The core opinion of a review (unless we made a clear factual error)
All corrections are noted at the bottom of the affected article with the date of correction.
Updates to Content
Financial products change constantly. Interest rates rise and fall. Fees appear and disappear. Companies update their terms.
We update our content regularly to reflect current information.
| Update Frequency | Content Type |
|---|---|
| Monthly | Interest rates, savings APY, fee changes |
| Quarterly | Product reviews, comparison tables |
| As needed | Breaking news, major product changes, reader-reported errors |
Each article shows a “Last updated” date at the bottom so you know when it was last reviewed.
Sponsored Content
FinWireStack does NOT accept sponsored posts or paid articles.
If a company wants us to write about their product, they must go through the same editorial process as every other product. No exceptions.
We clearly label any content that is:
- Sponsored (rare โ we generally do not accept these)
- Collaborative (clearly marked as such)
Currently, FinWireStack has no sponsored content.
Guest Posts
We do not accept guest posts or paid contributions from outside writers.
All content on FinWireStack is written by our internal team to ensure consistency, quality, and independence.
If you have expertise to share, email us your suggestion. We may interview you for a story or cite your work.
Reader Comments
We welcome reader comments and questions.
Comment policy:
- Comments must be respectful and on-topic
- No spam, self-promotion, or affiliate links
- No personal attacks or harassment
We reserve the right to remove comments that violate this policy.
We respond to legitimate questions within 2-3 business days.
Conflicts of Interest
We avoid conflicts of interest. When a conflict cannot be avoided, we disclose it.
Examples of disclosed conflicts:
- If we have an affiliate relationship with a product we are reviewing
- If we have personal experience with a product (positive or negative)
- If we have received a free trial or sample (we generally decline these)
We do not accept free products in exchange for reviews. If we receive a free trial for testing purposes, we disclose that fact and still provide our honest opinion.
